Jenny Engstrom

Jenny Engstrom is a published scholar in the field of Balkan politics and international conflict resolution. Her dislike for academic conferences eventually compelled her to partly abandon the academic life and follow an old dream of writing more creatively. She is now working on a political biography about Bosnia’s only female war criminal.

Challenging age-old stereotypes about motherhood and pacifism, women and violence, is a growing personal and professional pursuit of hers, a theme reflected in her current book project.

In a past life, Jenny worked in book publishing, in Sweden and the US, and she is also an accredited mediator.
