Jocelyn was a university academic until a short time ago. Now she has (in theory) all the time in the world to focus on her historical biography about Grace Oakeshott. Grace is not famous- but in 1907 she did an extraordinary thing when she left her husband (and a successful career in London),  faked her own death and ran away with her lover. As luck would have it, she fled to New Zealand- which is Jocelyn’s home country.  Jocelyn received an award recently from the NZ Society of Authors to research her book. She is now working from a range of historical sources in both countries to put together the two lives of this exceptional woman, to understand her motives and find out about her associates…….
